The David H. Koch Theater (the "Theater") remains deeply committed to the health and safety of our visitors, visiting artists, and staff. The Theater, in compliance with developing guidelines issued by federal, state, and local governments, has put in place preventative measures to try to reduce the spread of COVID-19 in the Theater.

With safety for all at the forefront, the David H. Koch Theater will be implementing a mandatory vaccination policy for all employees and visitors to the David H. Koch Theater. This includes all audiences attending any performance.

Every audience member must be fully vaccinated and will be required to provide in-person proof of vaccination against COVID-19, authorized by the FDA (Pfizer/BioNtech Comirnaty, Moderna, Johnson & Johnson/Janssen) or WHO, to be admitted to the theater. As a further tool to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, the Theater will require proper mask usage for all patrons at all performances. If a potential audience member remains unvaccinated because of a disability or sincerely held religious belief, that person may contact the David H. Koch Theater in writing for assistance or to request a reasonable accommodation by sending an email to

 Proof includes:

  • The free Health Pass by CLEAR to confirm identity, vaccination status and/or negative test result. Download the free app to gain access to faster entry lanes when arriving to your performance and to avoid long lines. Please click here for detailed instructions on how to use the app.
  • Physical/digital vaccination cards, NY State’s Excelsior Pass , or NYC COVID SAFE app (Apple / Android ) — all requiring an accompanying photo ID.
  • A government-issued photo ID along with a photo or hard copy of an official vaccination record of a vaccine administered outside the United States for one of the following vaccines: AstraZeneca/SK Bioscience, Serum Institute of India/COVISHIELD and Vaxzevria, Sinopharm, or Sinovac.

Additional safety measures include upgraded auditorium ventilation systems with MERV 15 filters, and rigorous cleaning and sanitation protocols throughout the building.

Based on CDC and New York State guidelines at the time of performance, additional safety protocols may include: contact tracing survey, limitations on belongings in the Theater, assigned entry times, contactless temperature check, social distancing, and more.

Specific health & safety protocols are determined by the Theater in its sole discretion and are subject to change. We will continue to consult with medical advisors and monitor CDC and New York City and State guidelines, and these policies may be updated as conditions evolve. The Theater will strive to communicate substantial changes to health and safety protocols in advance of performances. Visitors and Ticket Holders should review the Theater's website periodically to identify changes impacting one's ability to attend based on individual circumstances.

The Theater may, in its sole discretion, refuse to allow admission to any Ticket Holder who does not comply with the Theater's policies.

Tickets purchased from the David H. Koch Theater Box Office, Call Center, or the David H. Koch Theater website, for any visiting company engagements during the 2021-22 Season may be refunded or exchanged up until noon on the day of the performance. If a Ticket Holder seeks a ticket exchange, the exchange will apply to tickets with equivalent or lesser value. If the Ticket Holder seeks a cash refund, the amount of the refund will be equal to the amount paid by the Ticket Holder to the Theater at the time of purchase. This Refund and Exchange Policy may not apply to all performances.
